How to use these two words in sentences?

قريب /near
It usually needs a preposition من
مثل (for example)
.بيتي قريب من المسجد
My house is near to the masjid.

بعيد /far
It usually needs a propositionعن
.بيتي بعيد عن المسجد 
My house is far from the masjid.
