It only comes with alfi’el al madi when the subject is feminine
Example:
قرأ + ت
قَرَأَتْ سَارَة القِصَّة
Sarah read the story
شاهد + ت
شَاهَدَتْ أُمِّي التِّلِفَازَ
Mother watched television

ta’ altaanith usually is sakenah
that is, it has a sukun on top of its letter to denote that it is a feminine past tense verb
NOTE:
But if a consonant comes after ta altaanith we put a kasrah under the ta’ altaanith, for ease of pronunciation
